Shotgun Sinha dismisses Nitish Kumar with a fiery 'khamosh'
In either Bollywood or the battlefield, Shatrughan Sinha has only one word for his
enemy." Khamosh ".
On Thursday, the actor-turned-politician had the same reply to Bihar chief minister
Nitish Kumar's prospects in the Lok Sabha polls.
Sinha, 68, the sitting MP from Patna Sahib, is the BJP nominee in Patna. He cast his
vote at booth no 295 at St Severin School near his paternal home in Kadamkuan locality of Patna.
"There's unprecedented support for 'Dabaang' action hero Narendra Modi in Bihar,"
Sinha said, comparing the party's prime ministerial candidate to the filmy hero
played by Salman Khan in the movie of the same name.
Incidentally, the film 'Dabaang' also featured Sinha's daughter Sonakshi alongside
Salman Khan. The word 'khamosh' has become Sinha's trademark earning him the
sobriquet 'Shotgun' in Bollywood. The man known as 'Bihari Babu' also predicted
"revolutionary results" for the NDA across India in the elections.
Nitish Kumar's ruling Janata Dal (United) parted ways with the BJP last year after
the saffron brigade named Modi as the prime ministerial candidate
Sinha has been a Rajya Sabha member twice and was also a Union minister two times.
In this election, Sinha has been challenged by as many as 18 other candidates
though the main contest is expected to be between Bhojpuri film actor Kunal Singh of the
Congress, JD-U's Gopal Prasad Sinha, and Aam Aadmi Party's Parveen Amanullah, a
former minister who quit the Nitish Kumar cabinet in February.see more >>
