PATNA:

               Even as the state government is watching the emerging flood situation in the Kosi

river with bated breath, it has reiterated its demand for construction of high dams in the

upper reaches of three rivers - Kosi, Kamla and Bagmati - in Nepal for a permanent solution

to the annual devastation caused by floods in these rivers in Bihar.

              With Prime Minister Narendra Modi's two-day official visit to Nepal on Sunday and

Monday on mind, Bihar water resources development (WRD) minister Vijay Kumar

Chaudhary said it was high time the issue be discussed with Nepal. more >>
